Job Opportunity-

Physiotherapist (Contractor)

  • Long appointment times

Are you frustrated by the limitations of short appointment times?

At P3 Physiotherapy, we place a strong emphasis on providing quality assessments and rehabilitation plans to our clients and we currently offer our clients 60 minute initial assessments and 40 minute follow up appointments. We take pride in the fact that we enjoy utilising technology in our assessments and have the ActivForce and The Mat™ systems available for use to provide our clients with meaningful objective measures.

  • Brand new gym facility

Do you enjoy working outside of your cubicle and with a motivated and sporting population?

Our caseload is wide- ranging, from sports injuries to pelvic floor related issues, and from school kids to our older population. The clinic operates from a brand new gym facility close to Palmerston North city centre. The practice principal has over ten years of experience and post-graduate qualifications in Sports Physiotherapy and Pelvic Health. We provide physiotherapy services to a local high-school and a rugby/ netball club. An interest in providing game-day cover would be beneficial.

  • Flexible working hours

Are you looking for a better work-life balance? Do you want greater control over your own diary?

P3 Physiotherapy is offering full-time or part-time hours on a competitive contractor rate and there is room for more than one candidate. The practice principal is looking to build a team of colleagues that work alongside each other, not for one another. We want to offer our clients an exceptional service but also be able to work around our extra-curricular activities and family commitments.

  • The ideal candidate:

    - Hard working and enthusiastic about our wonderful profession

    - Motivated to improve our client’s lives as well as their own practice

    - Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and holds an existing Annual Practicing Certificate

    - Has some experience of working in New Zealand and knowledge of ACC and the public health systems

    - Comfortable working autonomously but also happy to share ideas and provide peer support

    - Has dry needling and/ or acupuncture skills

    - The Ministry of Health vaccination mandate still applies to physiotherapists in face-to-face contact with the public and so, evidence of vaccination will be required

  • Palmerston North is an awesome place to live with something for everyone- from nearby beaches, mountain biking, tramping, snow sports to an active music/ theatre/ arts scene.

The position is available from mid July 2022 and the details of the contract are open to discussion. Monthly in-service training will be available as well as regular team events.
